FAQ’s
Here are some frequently asked questions
What can I expect from an Insight package?
Health & Wellness Assessment
Your insight journey starts with our online
Health & Wellness assessment. In your Welcome email, we’ve sent you a link to your questionnaire for you to complete. It has a range of questions from medical history& diet to physical & mental wellbeing. Your answers will help us to build up a picture of your current cardiovascular wellbeing, which will inform us about your needs and how we can go about improving your overall health.
Blood Pressure
As part of your remote screening, we’ll send a blood pressure monitor for you to record your
results at home. Follow the instructions to start taking your blood pressure readings. You’ll need to take 7 days worth of readings (morning & evening). We’ll send you a link to a form where you can input these readings each day. Try to follow the guidance as accurately as possible. E.g. ‘DO sit quietly for 5 mins before taking your readings.’
Blood Analysis
The next step is for you to take a blood test. The tests we use are home blood test kits, which are really simple to use.
Personalised Action Plan
Once you’ve completed the first 3 steps, one of our cardiovascular specialist doctors will review all your data and provide a detailed personalised action plan to help advise you on what you need to do to optimise your health.
How long does the process take?
Following your booking, you will receive your Health & Wellness Assessment almost immediately. Your blood pressure machine and blood analysis kit will arrive within 48-72hrs. Once you have completed your 7 days of blood pressure readings and sent back you bloods, we aim to have your personalised report will be ready within 3 days.
What will the tests be looking for?
Your health and wellness assessment covers your current physical activity, nutrition, medical and family history, sleep and mental health. This enables us to provide the most relevant and helpful advice. It is also an opportunity for you to tell us about any specific concerns you might have and what you want from your experience. High blood pressure is one of the most common major risk factors for cardiovascular disease. A one-off measurement (especially just prior to medical testing) isn’t particularly useful, so we will provide you with a blood pressure diary to fill in at your convenience. We perform a comprehensive blood analysis that can be tailored to both men and women.
Over 30 different tests are conducted on your blood sample, including: a full blood count, cholesterol profile, urea and electrolytes and glycated haemoglobin. We look for any underlying signs of cardiovascular disease, such as high cholesterol, testosterone and diabetes.
What if the test flags something urgent?
One of our team will contact you within 12 hrs of receiving any data from you that suggests an urgent escalation.
